Passages Planner 2009

Technology Quickstart

All new students are required to complete a Technology QuickStart session. This class will teach you how to use the numerous electronic resources needed in coursework at Illinois State University including:

  • How to manage your ilstu.edu email account along with your own personal accounts
  • How to use Datastore for file storage
  • How to access and use the BlackBoard/WebCT system in classes
  • How to access network resources from off-campus
  • How to get security and anti-virus tools (they are required but free to you!)
  • How to get your music, movies, and media legally (and many times free)

If you were not able to activate your University Logon ID (ULID) during Preview or need to confirm your password, you will be able to do so during this session.

You should have signed up for a Technology Quickstart class during your Preview or advisor registration session. It is important that you attend the session for which you registered. If you need to register or change to a different session during Passages, you should change your registration yourself by using the iCampus portal (www.icampus.ilstu.edu). The courses can be found under Interdisciplinary Studies Department 604 as course number 150. The course content for all the sections is the same. All sessions start in room 139 of the College of Business Building.

If you require assistance you may also call the Student Service Referral Center at (309) 438-2188 or bring your photo ID to the SSRC (107 Moulton Hall) on Thursday or Friday.

Note: the days used in the schedule are as follows: “F” for Friday, “S” for Saturday, and “U” for Sunday.
